Cosmic Serpent

The ourobouros is a symbol of the cyclical nature of existence, the infinity of time, and in many cultures it is thought to originate or reside in the Milky Way. There are numerous Aboriginal myths of the rainbow serpent that appears to us as it shifts through water and rain, to shape the landscape into valleys and hills, rivers and waterholes. As a guardian of shamanic lore, it can poison or heal, it can enlighten or send us mad, it can irrigate the land or swallow and drown us. I see it as an eternal slumbering frequency that permeates the sky and earth, enfolding us in its coils.
